Passionate about using Web 2.0 and social media and how it affects learning. Working on publishing papers about educational technology. Strong interest in researching and writing about multicultural identity in Japan and indigenous cultures. Currently writing an autobiography about growing up haafu (biracial in Japan). Appreciation for West African and Latin rhythms and plays the djembe. Strong interest in storytelling through music and speech and aspiring to be a librarian and to write children’s literature. Sports enthusiast and plays basketball and is an official for the international schools basketball and volleyball leagues in Tokyo and Yokohama. Organizes networking events to connect educators to local Japanese and bilingual expatriate technology professionals.
